A large not for profit organization in Newark is seeking a part time, experienced maintenance staff member responsible for multiple sites which provides daily janitorial, maintenance and repair work.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that the properties are kept in top condition at all times;
• Address general maintenance and repairs improvements
• Operating machinery, equipment and supporting systems at all commercial and residential properties
• Repair projects including identifying the needs of the properties: Plumbing, and Painting
• General Building Floor Care: (dust/wet mopping/ stripping and waxing)
• Gardening- Planting, weeding and leaf removal
• Snow Removal shoveling and salting
• Providing response in emergencies as needed;

Background and experience

• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with a good work history ;
• Possess plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills/experience;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
• Mechanically inclined, highly organized and detail oriented;
• Reliable, courteous, friendly, hardworking and professional;
• Must be available to assist in after-hours emergency situations;

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent certificate

Drivers License required Hourly rate :$20.00
