Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager at Intuitive Surgical responsible for driving da Vinci® Surgical System sales into new and existing hospitals across Long Island. The role involves building hospital relationships, managing the sales process from initial contact through installation, and achieving quarterly targets.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex sales process for da Vinci® systems into new hospitals and upgrades
- Build surgeon and administrator support; identify key institutions and drive market awareness
- Develop sales plans with Area Sales Director and establish surgical advocacy teams
- Achieve quarterly sales targets and manage transition to procedural growth phase
- Coordinate contractual negotiations, system installation, and all administrative communications
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably healthcare or capital equipment
- Knowledge of operating room environment
- Proven track record in capital medical equipment sales
- Bachelor's degree
- Willingness to relocate to Long Island area
- Travel availability up to 50%
Compensation: $350,000 target on-target earnings (base plus commission)
