Knowledge of inventory control procedures, warehouse documentation, or Lean warehouse practices is considered an asset. Individuals who demonstrate reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and safe work habits are well positioned for success as a Material Forklift Operator.Job DutiesOperate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines Load, unload, and store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage Store and retrieve material, including piece pick and/or bulk Prepare required paperwork for distribution and shipping of products Perform daily inspection and maintenance of equipment Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned areas Assist with periodic inventory counts as requestedPhysical CapabilitiesAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive material handling tasks throughout the shift. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely move products using manual or powered material handling equipment.
