Inn at Village Square is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Aide to support resident engagement and well-being at our assisted living community.In this resident-focused role, you'll plan and facilitate recreational, social, and enrichment activities tailored to residents' individual interests, abilities, and goals. Our workplace culture and continuous opportunities for growth have resulted in Avesta Housing's Inn at Village Square Avesta being a popular place to work.Our employees selected the Inn at Village Square and Avesta Housing as a 2025 Best Places to Work in Maine because of our opportunities for career advancement, friendly workplace culture, impressive benefits and compensation, responsive managers, and company values!What We're Looking for in an Employee:Commitment to quality services and treating residents with dignity and respect.Thorough understanding of the aging process.Good written and oral communication skills.Ability to work effectively with others and portray a positive, team-player attitude.RequirementsAssociate degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.ExperienceMinimum of two years of experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility preferred.Experience using computers and Microsoft Office products.Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt activities and services to residents' individual needs.Excellent customer service, written communication, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.Enthusiastic, energetic, and able to relate effectively to a variety of people and personalities.Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a safe driving record; ability to safely operate a minivan and small bus seating 8–14 passengers.Able to fluently communicate in English.Willingness to undergo a criminal background check.Certifications (preferred or required)Activity Coordinator Certification preferred.Personal Support Specialist (PSS), Residential Care Specialist I (RCS I), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred.Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) credential preferred.This is a non-exempt, part-time position that will work evenings and weekends.
