This advanced-level Medical Assistant role provides high-level clinical and administrative support to physicians and care teams in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. The ideal candidate is a dependable team player with strong clinical skills, excellent customer service, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.This position works independently on more complex clinical assignments while supporting patient flow, documentation quality, care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives.How will you make an impact & RequirementsWhat You'll DoClinical & Patient Care SupportPerform advanced patient rooming, intake assessments, vital signs, documentation, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.Prepare patients and exam rooms for procedures and treatments.Assist physicians and licensed providers during exams, procedures, and patient care activities.Support patient follow-up, referrals, and care coordination activities.Identify and escalate clinical concerns following established protocols.Care Coordination & Quality InitiativesReview provider schedules and patient records to identify care gaps and necessary screenings.Support quality improvement projects, patient outreach efforts, and workflow enhancements.Help improve patient access, patient satisfaction, and clinical performance outcomes.Resolve routine workflow, equipment, supply, and documentation issues that impact clinic operations.Team SupportAssist with onboarding and mentoring less experienced Medical Assistants.Promote teamwork and best practices across the clinic.Maintain infection control, patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and clinic readiness standards.QualificationsRequiredHigh School Diploma or GED.Medical Assistant Certification.Minimum of 3 years of Medical Assistant experience.Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Experience in a Primary Care or Internal Medicine setting preferred.Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.Reliable transportation.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.Preferred3-5 years of ambulatory care, medical assisting, or patient care support experience.Knowledge of: Clinical documentation workflows Quality gap closure initiatives Point-of-care testing Infection control practices Care team coordination and patient outreach programsBenefitsMPG offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:Medical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k) Retirement PlanPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid HolidaysWhy Join MPG?At MPG, you'll be part of a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to providing outstanding patient care.
