Store Environment Team Member

Store - BOS-NEWTON, MA Responsibilities Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures. Dust and mop floors using approved materials. Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return them to correct placement. Clean assigned areas with the assigned materials and equipment. Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, break rooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff. Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment. Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task. Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor. Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines. Maintain positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values. Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other Team Members. Other Duties as Assigned Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards. Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments. Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS). Participate in the truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes. Support shrink and safety programs. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; execute Company policies and standards. Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to remain standing for long periods of time. Ability to move throughout the store. Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching. Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment. Work Environment Public retail store setting with customers; all public areas are climate controlled; some stock rooms may not be climate controlled; some outdoor work may be required to retrieve shopping carts or during unloading trucks. Additional tasks may involve a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
