Applications Engineering Manager | CNC

The Application Engineer will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and optimizing software solutions to meet business needs. Description Develop, test, and implement applications to support engineering and manufacturing operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements. Ensure software solutions align with industry standards and company objectives. Mentor, coach, and develop Applications Engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Develop engineering standards, best practices, and technical documentation. Identify process improvements and remove obstacles that prevent the engineering team from being successful. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering personnel. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for implemented applications. Optimize existing systems to improve performance and reliability. Document technical processes and create user guides for applications. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions. Assist in project planning and timeline management for software development initiatives. Profile A successful Application Engineer should have: Minimum eight years of progressive hands-on experience in CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, applications engineering, machine tool applications, or turnkey manufacturing. Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, Manufacturing Engineer, Applications Engineer, or similar hands-on manufacturing role. Experience with one or more major CAM systems such as Mastercam, Siemens, ESPRIT ect Okay with occasional travel in this role Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and customer-facing skills. Expert knowledge of multi-axis machining, mill-turn, and multitasking machine tools. Demonstrated experience leading technical teams while remaining actively engaged in engineering activities Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals. Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools is an advantage.
