\n

\n

\n • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.\n
\n

\n

\n • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.\n
\n

\n

\n • Completed an ACGME approved training program in psychiatry \n
\n

\n

\n • DEA certification \n
\n

\n

\n • BLS/ACLS certification \n
\n

\n

\n • Prior experience in correctional, forensic, or inpatient psychiatric settings\n
\n

\n Responsibilities \n
\n

\n • Assess and screen patients by conducting psychiatric evaluations. \n
\n

\n

\n • Develop treatment plans and prescribe medication.\n
\n

\n

\n • Monitor patients to determine efficacy and potential side effects of medications. \n
\n

\n

\n • Provide crisis intervention as needed. \n
\n

\n

\n • Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner.\n
\n

\n

\n • Accept obligations of scheduled assignments and perform all other duties as requested by the facility.\n
