Critical Care NP/ANP ICU Specialist

Job Overview Department: BGMC Critical Care APPs. Location: Buffalo General Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. Work Type: Full‑Time. Scheduled work hours: 7 p‑8 a (Shift 3). Job Responsibilities Practice as an Advanced Practice Provider/Nurse Practitioner, including diagnosis of illness and physical conditions and the performance of therapeutic and corrective measures within a specialty of practice, in collaboration with a licensed physician pursuant to a written practice agreement and written practice protocols. Education and Credentials Completion of a masters, post‑masters, or doctorate NP program accredited by CCNE or ACEN. Current active RN and NP license in NYS. National NP certification required. Internal hire: requires completion of transition criteria upon transfer into the position. External hire: required at the time of application. Current BLS and ACLS certification required. DEA license or DEA eligibility required. Agreement from an appropriate physician to enter into a collaborative agreement required. Experience At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience. 1 year of NP experience or 2 years of clinical experience in a specialty area such as MICU, SICU, NSICU, CVICU, or ED as RN or NP preferred.
