Activities Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Solaris HealthCare Charlotte Harbor, a 180‑bed Skilled Nursing & Rehab Facility in Port Charlotte, Florida, is seeking an Activities CNA to join our team. Location: 4000 Kings Hwy, Port Charlotte, FL 33980. Responsibilities Activity Planning: develop and implement a diverse range of activities and programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, games, exercise classes, and cultural events. Individualized Care: assess residents’ interests, preferences, and cognitive abilities to customize activity plans and ensure participation and enjoyment. Group Facilitation: lead group activities and events, encouraging resident participation and fostering a sense of community. One‑on‑One Engagement: provide individualized interaction and assistance with activities to residents who need additional support. Documentation: maintain accurate records of participation, observations of engagement, behavior, and mood, and report changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional. Collaboration: work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and social workers to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic well‑being of residents. Safety and Supervision: ensure the safety and well‑being of residents during activities, providing supervision and assistance as needed and adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines. Communication: communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to provide information about upcoming activities, encourage participation, and address any questions or concerns. Resource Management: maintain inventory of activity supplies and equipment; assist with procurement of materials and resources needed for activities and events. Qualifications Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of Florida. Previous experience working with elderly individuals, preferably in a long‑term care or assisted living setting. Genuine compassion for the elderly and a desire to enhance their quality of life through meaningful activities and interactions. Creative and innovative approach to activity planning that caters to a diverse range of interests and abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff. Team player: ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the overall well‑being and care of residents. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina: ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods, and assist residents with mobility and activities as needed. Florida AHCA Clearinghouse background screening required.
