Radiation Therapist

A hospital in Russellville, Arkansas is seeking a junior-level Radiation Therapist to join its radiation therapy program. This is a fully on-site, in-person position with no travel required. Please note that relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available for this role.

The Radiation Therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments to patients in accordance with established clinical protocols. Daily responsibilities center on working within the radiation therapy department, applying knowledge of treatment planning and delivery to support safe and accurate patient care. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career therapist looking to grow within a dedicated radiation oncology team.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments safely and accurately
• Apply treatment planning knowledge to support precise and effective care delivery
• Operate radiation therapy equipment according to established clinical protocols
• Position patients correctly and consistently for each treatment session
• Maintain detailed and accurate treatment documentation for every patient encounter
• Follow all radiation safety standards and quality assurance procedures
• Communicate with the clinical team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the treatment process

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiation Therapy or an equivalent field required
• Diploma or certification in Radiation Therapy required
• Registry or registry-eligible status as a radiation therapist in good standing required
• One to two years of experience in radiation therapy preferred
• Knowledge and experience with Aria, Eclipse Treatment Planning, and Philips CT software preferred
