HEOR Director, Field - Northwest

Primary Responsibilities Work closely with reimbursement and managed market teams to educate the payer and market access community on disease and treatment. Work closely with Account Managers (AMs) to meet information needs of healthcare professionals and associated plans; manage assigned Key Customer Accounts and customer interfaces for assigned national and regional affiliate accounts. Manage ongoing scientific dialogue with the Managed Care audience regarding clinical information, scientific discussions, and health outcomes research for all Acadia therapies. Partner with key customers and opinion leaders; support internal collaborators and TA Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) in interpreting key scientific data to support policy decision-makers. Prepare and deliver fair, balanced, and comprehensive responses to clinical and scientific concerns from population health decision-makers (managed care, Medicare/Medicaid, plan medical and pharmacy directors). Facilitate education and HEOR account-related activities for current and new company therapies. Collaborate with the in-house HEOR team on HEOR strategies and activities (e.g., database analysis and vendor proposals). Develop and deliver HEOR collaborations with population health decision-makers; demonstrate experience via HEOR publications and projects. Education/Experience/Skills (Qualifications) PharmD, MD, PhD, or other recognized doctorate with applicable health science background; additional MPH, MBA, and/or health services advanced degree highly desired. 5+ years of related field medical or comparable experience addressing scientific/clinical policy issues in managed care/market access (Medicare/Medicaid-related role). 4+ years post-professional degree practice or relevant transferable experience. Specialized HEOR training (e.g., Outcomes Research Fellowship) preferred (or equivalent). Highly desired: leading/designing/managing field or HQ HEOR studies. Highly desired: experience with health plan drug utilization decision-making (e.g., Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, Guideline Panels). Strongly preferred: payer environment experience and knowledge of government/private payer relationships. Experience communicating health outcomes research and economic model results. Ability to operate within legal and regulatory guidelines. Scientific/pharmaceutical knowledge; strong leadership, planning, and written/verbal communication. Strong presentation and teaching skills; ability to convey technical clinical/non-clinical information. Proven ability to work within an MSL team and build/maintain relationships. Travel: ~60% (must be relatively close to a major airport). Physical Requirements (summary) Regular standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands; occasional lifting/moving up to 20 lbs. Ability to travel independently by car/airplane and work after hours as needed. Benefits Discretionary bonus and equity awards (amount varies by experience/performance/location).
