Job Opening Overview

Are you a clinical pharmacist looking for a highly flexible, autonomous role to supplement your income? We are seeking one or more part-time Independent Contractor (1099) Consultant Pharmacists to provide a hybrid of remote clinical consulting and targeted on-site auditing for skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities across the state of Wisconsin.

Because our facility network spans the entire state of Wisconsin , this project-based contract can be easily customized to fit your schedule. We can onboard multiple pharmacists to cover specific local cities, or partner with pharmacist(s) to handle a broader portfolio. We are targeting a October/November 2026 start date for these contracts.

Estimated Workload & Volume

• Skilled Nursing Homes: Average of 100 residents per month per facility.
• Assisted Living Facilities: Average of 50 residents per quarter per facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote Medication Reviews: Conduct monthly Medication Regimen Reviews (MRR) remotely for residents in both nursing homes and assisted living facilities using secure EHR access.
• On-Site Nursing Home Visits: Perform monthly on-site visits strictly dedicated to conducting medication storage audits and attending key facility meetings.
• On-Site Assisted Living Visits: Perform quarterly on-site visits focused specifically on medication storage audits.
• Meeting Attendance: Participate on-site in critical facility committee meetings, including Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and Behavioral Health meetings.
• Clinical Collaboration: Partner with physicians, nursing staff, and facility leadership to communicate high-risk medication alerts, psychotropic tracking, and GDR (Gradual Dose Reduction) recommendations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in Wisconsin. (Multi-state licensure is an advantage but not required).
• On-Site Travel: Ability to travel for mandatory monthly and quarterly on-site facility visits in your designated geographic territory.
• Experience: Experience in long-term care (LTC) consulting, geriatrics, or facility auditing is highly preferred.
• Business Setup: As a 1099 contractor , you must possess a secure remote workspace (computer and high-speed internet) and reliable transportation.

Compensation & Contract Terms

• Highly Competitive Per-Bed Rate: Compensation is structured as an all-inclusive flat per-bed contract rate .
• All-Inclusive Scope: This premium per-bed rate is strategically calculated to comprehensively cover all aspects of the contract—including remote chart reviews, on-site medication storage audits, meeting attendance, and travel expenses. No other separate line items or services are billable.
• Flexible Scope: Take on as few or as many facilities/cities as your availability and license profile allow.
