Junior Project Manager - 100% Remote

DescriptionKforce's client is undertaking a large, cross-functional Workday implementation and is looking for a hands-on Remote Project Manager to help keep the initiative organized, coordinated, and moving forward. Summary:This is a great opportunity for a motivated, self-driven project manager who wants to take ownership and deepen their project-management skills while working alongside experienced project and program leaders. The Junior Project Manager will serve as a key day-to-day project partner, coordinating activities across functional teams and an external implementation partner. This is a highly organized, execution-focused role-you'll help turn plans and discussions into clear actions, owners, deadlines, and results.What You'll Do:* Maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical-path activities* Coordinate day-to-day activities across HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Security, Data, Change Management, and implementation-partner teams* Schedule and facilitate project meetings, working sessions, status reviews, and decision forums* Prepare agendas, document decisions and action items, assign owners, and follow up through completion* Maintain project documentation, status reports, dashboards, RAID logs, decision logs, and other governance materials* Track risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies and proactively escalate concerns* Monitor workstream progress and identify conflicts, resource constraints, and cross-functional dependencies* Support activities across requirements, design, configuration, data conversion, integrations, testing, training, deployment, and stabilization* Coordinate testing schedules, defect tracking, readiness checkpoints, and deliverable reviews* Support change-control activities and help assess impacts to scope, schedule, and resources* Prepare concise project updates and communications for stakeholders and leadership* Keep project information organized, current, and accessibleRequirements* Demonstrated experience in project management, project coordination, or a closely related project-delivery role* Experience supporting a complex technology, enterprise software, or SaaS project* Strong understanding of project-management fundamentals, including planning, scheduling, status reporting, dependency tracking, and risk and issue management* Experience coordinating multiple teams or workstreams and keeping deliverables and action items on track* Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through* Ability to synthesize complex information into clear status updates, action items, decisions, and next steps* Strong communication and meeting-facilitation skills* Ability to work independently, take direction, and proactively identify what needs to happen next* Proficiency with standard project-management and collaboration toolsPreferred Qualifications:* PMP, CAPM, Agile, or comparable project-management certification* Experience supporting a Workday implementation, deployment, or major optimization initiative* Experience with another large-scale SaaS or enterprise software implementation* Familiarity with implementation activities such as design, configuration, integrations, data conversion, testing, training, cutover, or stabilization* Exposure to HR, payroll, finance, or other enterprise business processes* Experience using Monday.com and/or SharePoint for project management and collaborationThe successful candidate will be someone who enjoys getting into the details, keeping information organized, following up on commitments, and making sure issues don't get lost.
