In this role, you will use state-of-the-art, noninvasive computerized technology to perform CT scans or x-rays, helping providers to diagnose, evaluate, and treat a range of medical conditions in a 25 bed critical access facility. This position is ideal for a skilled professional looking for flexibility and purpose in a supportive environment./ppQualifications:/pulliGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program required./liliMontana State Radiologic Technologist License as required by law./liliRegistered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required./liliCurrent BLS CPR certification required./liliRegistered in Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT preferred but not necessary./liliExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently./liliCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed./liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences./liliExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy./liliPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed./li/ulpJob Specific Duties:/pulliAccurately performs X-ray and CT examination as defined by department protocols./liliEnsures accurate techniques are utilized in accordance with ACR standards and ALARA./liliPerform EKG exams for outpatient and as needed on the hospital side./liliWill maintain the supply for the EKG cart./liliAccurately performs beginning and end of day duties as defined in department procedures./liliResponsible for stocking assigned area(s) and assists with supply outdates./liliExhibits proper radiation safety as appropriate to assigned area(s)./liliAccurately reports all malfunctioning equipment and/or errors per department protocol./liliDocuments safety related issues and outcomes./liliObtains patient history, reason for procedure, and other exam related information./liliEvaluates information to ensure appropriate scan to ensure proper diagnosis./liliCommunicates any questions or concerns per department protocol./liliResponsible for patient preparation related to the exam./liliProvides the patient with follow-up, exam information and post exam procedures as applicable to assigned area(s)./liliResponsible for reviewing orders, prior exams, labs, and patient history per department standards./liliAccurately completes appropriate documentation related to exam./li/ulpThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
