Job Title

For nearly 85 years, we've designed, built and maintained amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. The largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, we're simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development and production of technologically advanced, highly capable ships for the surface Navy fleet for decades.

The Role

Writes, edits and prepares internal company publications and communications. Selects, writes, and reviews editorials and special articles. Develops, recommends, and maintains editorial policy. Interviews to obtain items for publication and to verify facts; assigns or approves artwork; and approves final proofs and page layouts, and websites. May coordinate production and distribution activities.

Must Have 6 years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; Combination of education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.

Experience managing corporate community engagement and philanthropic strategy; Ability to generate engagement focused content for internal publications and communications; Experience planning, executing and managing all aspects of events; Ability to measure and report on program metrics as they relate to company values and priorities; Experience producing presentations and printed materials that reflect company communication standards; Ability to speak to groups and lead teams of volunteers and employees in various settings. Ability to manage workload and priorities in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking.
