Senior NoSQL Database Administrator
Job Summary




We're looking for a senior NoSQL Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience managing NoSQL databases across Linux and Kubernetes environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple NoSQL technologies, particularly Neo4j and StarDog, along with strong automation and production database support skills.




Key Responsibilities
Administer and support NoSQL databases across Linux VMs and Kubernetes environments.
Build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot production and non-production database clusters.
Work with NoSQL platforms such as Neo4j, StarDog, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, SingleStore, or similar technologies.
Perform database upgrades, patching, migrations, configuration, break-fix, and performance tuning.
Develop Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks for database provisioning and administration.
Support high availability, disaster recovery, replication, backup/recovery, and multi-datacenter configurations.
Perform capacity planning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and database performance optimization.
Use AI-assisted development tools such as Devin for Spec Driven Development (SDD) and NoSQL platform automation.




Required Skills & Experience
8 12+ years of experience in NoSQL database administration, depending on education/experience.
Strong hands-on experience with 2+ NoSQL databases.
Experience with Neo4j and/or StarDog is highly preferred.
Strong Linux and Kubernetes administration experience.
Hands-on Ansible automation and playbook development.
Experience with database clustering, replication, HA/DR, backup & recovery, and security.
Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and migration experience.
Experience with OLAM playbooks is preferred.
Exposure to AI-native development / Devin / Spec Driven Development (SDD) is highly preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.




Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior NoSQL DBA who can independently manage complex database environments from installation and provisioning through production support, automation, upgrades, performance tuning, and recovery. They should be comfortable working across Linux and Kubernetes and have strong automation skills with Ansible.
