Therapist - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide speech-language pathology assessments and interventions to patients in acute care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently in radiology settings.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with patients' needs and clinical goals.
• Document patient progress accurately using electronic medical records and paper documentation as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications, including BLS and HI rehab licensure in relevant discipline.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Hawaii license in Speech-Language Pathology prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or SNF settings.
• Proficient in completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently.
• BLS certification required.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
• Adaptable to floating across units and facilities based on census and staffing needs.
