Provide speech-language pathology assessments and interventions to patients in acute care, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facilities. Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders. Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently in radiology settings.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with patients' needs and clinical goals.
- Document patient progress accurately using electronic medical records and paper documentation as required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain current licensure and certifications, including BLS and HI rehab licensure in relevant discipline.
- Hold an active Hawaii license in Speech-Language Pathology prior to start.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or SNF settings.
- Proficient in completing Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently.
- BLS certification required.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Adaptable to floating across units and facilities based on census and staffing needs.
