Medical Doctor/Physician - Pharmacist

Job Description

Job Summary:
A licensed Pharmacist responsible for verifying, preparing, and dispensing prescriptions while ensuring medication safety. The role involves patient education on drug side effects, advising physicians on medication selection, managing inventory, and providing clinical services such as vaccinations in hospital or retail pharmacy settings.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately according to patient needs and doctor orders.
• Educate patients on medication use, potential side effects, and safety precautions.
• Collaborate with physicians to recommend appropriate drug therapies.
• Manage medication inventory to ensure adequate stock levels and compliance.
• Provide clinical services, including administering vaccinations and health screenings.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Hold an active control substance license and state pharmacy license for Michigan.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of medication safety and pharmacy operations.
• Exhibit excellent patient communication and counseling skills.
• Ability to manage inventory and multidisciplinary teamwork.
