Harlingen Medical Center is a Level IV Trauma Designated hospital that specializes in Cardiovascular Service, Emergency Services, Neuroscience, Orthopedic Services, Radiology, Rehabilitation Services and Surgical Services. Harlingen Medical Center has provided high-quality “Patient Focused Care” to the residents of Western Cameron County for more than 15 years. Responsibilities
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the patient Sitter maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members. Offers support to peers and staff.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
BLS (AHA) certification required at time of hire and remain current.
