Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Location: San Antonio, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts are 7A-7:30P and 7P-7:30A, with work required every other weekend and some holidays.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. The role involves monitoring telemetry patients, utilizing effective communication techniques, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Manage IV drips and cardiac medications.
• Provide post-care management for cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement, and vascular surgeries.
• Document patient care using the Meditech system and ensure effective communication with patients and families.
• Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active Texas RN License (Temp License will NOT be accepted).
• ACLS and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of hospital or specialty experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
