Role Description We are currently seeking a professional English Karen (Sgaw/Sgow) interpreter for an upcoming short remote assignment. The selected interpreter will provide accurate and culturally sensitive consecutive interpretation during a school meeting between a teacher and a student. Project Details Date: October 2025 Time: 1:30 PM 2:00 PM EST Duration: 30 minutes Platform: Remote (Google Meet) Type: Consecutive Interpretation Subject: School Teacher/Student Meeting | Oral Translation for an IEP Meeting Responsibilities Provide clear and accurate consecutive interpretation between English and Karen (Sgaw/Sgow). Facilitate effective communication between participants in an educational setting. Maintain professionalism, neutrality, and confidentiality throughout the session. Ensure cultural nuances and meaning are conveyed accurately and appropriately. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Karen (Sgaw/Sgow) and English. Proven experience in consecutive interpretation, preferably in educational or community settings. Strong listening and communication skills.
