Senior Business Analyst - Cyber Human Factors & Behavior

Randstad Digital is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Human Factors & Cyber Behavior) for a high-impact, non-technical opportunity supporting Amtrak in Washington, DC. In this role, you will apply human factors, behavioral science, organizational behavior, and human-centered design principles to help mature an enterprise approach to managing cybersecurity risk associated with human behavior. Working at the intersection of people, processes, and technology, you will analyze work systems, organizational culture, and user habits to translate research into practical strategies, behavioral interventions, and educational materials that reduce risk and drive a security-minded culture across the enterprise.

responsibilities:

Human Risk & Behavioral Strategy: Apply behavioral science, human-centered design, and organizational analysis to evaluate, map, and mitigate human-centric cybersecurity risks across the enterprise.

Organizational Analysis & Plan Development: Conduct research and analyze work systems, organizational culture, and employee workflows to turn data into actionable plans, intervention strategies, and policy recommendations.

Requirements & Process Design: Gather and define business cases, functional requirements, and process maps (using Visio) that align security objectives with everyday operational workflows.

Educational Content & Visual Communication: Design visual communications, graphic assets, and instructional resources to educate non-technical audiences, simplify complex risk concepts, and influence behavior at scale.

Platform & Content Management: Review, create, and update user interface materials and educational resources hosted on SharePoint and content management systems for broad organizational access.

Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with business users, operational leadership, and technical cybersecurity teams to act as a bridge, ensuring security strategies respect human interaction patterns.

qualifications:

Core Background: Professional experience or educational background in human factors, organizational behavior, behavioral science, organizational psychology, or human-centered design.

Behavioral & Systems Analysis: Demonstrated track record of analyzing people, work environments, and organizational culture to drive strategy, interventions, and measurable outcomes.

Business Analysis Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience defining business cases, functional/technical requirements, use cases, and process flows.

Visual Communication & Design: Minimum 3 years of experience designing graphics, visual communications, and educational/instructional materials using modern production tools.

Platform & Software Proficiency: High proficiency in SharePoint (publishing and content management) along with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.

Communication & Adaptability: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence organizational outcomes and comfortably operate within a cybersecurity environment without needing a technical cybersecurity or engineering background.

Preferred Industry Experience: Experience in transportation operations, passenger rail, or travel/airline work environments is an asset.
