Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Job Location: Clayton, NC
Job Duration: 4-5 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: 7:00am - 4:00pm; Monday - Friday, rotate Saturday Job Description The PSR II is responsible for drawing blood specimens from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with established procedures. - Collect blood samples (venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric)
- Prepare and process specimens for lab testing
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling in the patient's presence
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and company procedures
- Provide professional, courteous patient interaction at all times
- Work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- May work across multiple locations with short notice as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience (required)
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients (required)
- Strong customer service skills preferred
- Basic computer/data entry skills required
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if travel required)
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states)
- On-site role (not remote)
- Fast-paced patient service or clinical setting
- May involve rotating between multiple sites
