Based on typical route time, this is approximately $22–$24 per hour equivalent.Part-time. Typically about 22.5 hours a week, mornings and afternoons.Monday to Friday during the school day, home every nightExtra paid hours for field trips, sports and activity runs, offered on a rotational basisSummer work is available but not mandatorySupplemental Benefits available.Driving students in the Cambria Heights School DistrictWhat the job involvesYou will drive a bus on a set route, morning and afternoon, carrying students to and from school. Alongside driving, you are responsible for pre-trip inspections, keeping the vehicle within DOT requirements, checking the vehicle after every route, and managing student behavior safely.Your dayMorning route typically around 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Afternoon route typically around 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is a split shift with a break in between. Runs at this site are shorter than at other locations.Field trips, sports and activity runs are optional and assigned on a rotational basis. They are paid at a separate activity rate.This may suit you if you areAlready holding a CDL and looking for regular hours. Coming off the road and want to stay in driving without the travel.
