GRADUATE NURSE

Position Overview The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a graduate professional nurse who coordinates and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, according to the nursing process and the standards of care set by the Texas Board of Nursing. Responsibilities • Coordinate and evaluate patient care with the health team. • Administer medications after passing a medication administration exam. • Apply physical hold and verbal de‑escalation techniques (Handle With Care) during orientation. • Maintain current CPR certification. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Minimum of one year of nursing experience (preferred). Graduate permit allowed on a temporary basis; RN license required within 6 months of hire. Must pass a medication administration exam. Current CPR certification upon hire. Successful completion of Handle With Care (physical hold and verbal de‑escalation) during orientation.
