Data Architect - Google Cloud & BigQuery

Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of BigQuery data modeling, partitioning and clustering, performance optimization, cost and slot management, dimensional modeling, slowly changing dimensions (SCD), and layered data architecture.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform ingestion and processing services, including GCS, Dataflow, DataStream, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Run or Cloud Functions; ability to ingest REST APIs, spreadsheets, semi-structured data, and HTML.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL change data capture and logical replication, plus experience with terabyte-scale migrations, strong SQL, and Dataform or dbt.
- Experience designing Power BI semantic models and selecting Import, DirectQuery, or Composite modes; knowledge of gateways, incremental refresh, row-level security (RLS), and BigQuery performance.
- Knowledge of governance and delivery practices, including IAM, VPC Service Controls, KMS/CMEK, policy tags, Dataplex, Terraform, CI/CD, architecture documentation, high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR), and stakeholder workshops.
- Preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Data Engineer certification; Python skills; experience with data observability tools or streaming analytics; telecom domain exposure.
- Assess our clients data landscape and design an end-to-end Google Cloud Platform architecture spanning ingestion, GCS landing, BigQuery, transformations, semantic models, and Power BI.
- Define scalable architecture, security, governance, cost controls, and delivery standards.
