Substitute Food Service Helper
The Bloomfield School District is looking for dependable, friendly Substitute Food Service Helpers to join our school nutrition team on an on-call, as-needed basis. In this role, you will help prepare and serve nutritious meals to students in a welcoming environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for a flexible schedule that aligns with the school calendar.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Helping prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to the students.
- Keeping the kitchen and cafeteria clean, safe, and organized.
- Washing dishes and helping with the post-lunch cleanup.
- Being a positive, welcoming face for the students as they come through the lunch line.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation, portioning, and serving of school meals (breakfast and lunch).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining area in compliance with health regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with dishwashing and cleanup.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
Once you have completed this application, you must complete a second application with the Ontario County Civil Service office.
