Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 4x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. Responsibilities include supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, as well as conducting nursing assessments and documentation of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments, collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs, emphasizing patient/family education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Ensure effective communication regarding patient status changes among care providers.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks appropriately.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning by providing calm direction and support.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs for equipment and supplies.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following orientation.
• Engage in professional growth and continuing education opportunities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience required.
• Experience in ICU is preferred.
