Derby Towing LLC is seeking a Tow Truck Driver to provide safe, reliable towing and roadside assistance in Louisville, KY.

Position Summary

The Tow Truck Driver is responsible for responding to towing and roadside service calls, operating a tow truck safely and efficiently, and ensuring customers experience respectful, professional service. This role requires strong situational awareness, safe driving practices, and the ability to follow established procedures while handling equipment with care.

In this position, you will represent Derby Towing LLC at the scene of service calls, coordinate effectively with dispatch and team members, and maintain readiness of the vehicle and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned towing and roadside assistance calls in a safe, timely manner

• Operate a tow truck and manage load securement and transport procedures according to safety standards

• Perform basic inspections and routine maintenance checks to help ensure equipment is in safe working condition

• Provide courteous, professional assistance to customers at the scene and communicate clearly as needed

• Maintain accurate service-related information and follow company procedures and documentation practices

Required Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record suitable for commercial vehicle operation

• Ability to drive long and short distances safely and follow road and traffic safety practices

• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions and handling physically demanding tasks

• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and willingness to follow safety procedures consistently

• Ability to read instructions and communicate effectively with dispatch and team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating tow trucks or similar service vehicles

• Familiarity with basic vehicle towing and safe load securement practices

• Prior customer service experience in a roadside or service environment

• Basic mechanical aptitude to support routine inspections and troubleshooting

• Experience working in a fast-paced, on-call dispatch setting
