Supervisory Child Care Program Specialist (Regional Program Manager)

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, located in Dallas, Texas. Responsibilities As a Supervisory Child Care Program Specialist, (Regional Program Manager), you will: Provide leadership, direction and technical guidance on all aspects of the CCDF program at the regional level. Promote efficient and effective management and administration of the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) program in the assigned geographical area. Lead and coordinates multi-agency partnerships with Federal, State, Tribal, and local entities to implement child care initiatives and ensure program alignment and compliance. Direct the collection and analysis of child care program data to identify trends and inform policy decisions, technical assistance strategies, and program improvements. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Basic Qualifications: Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. AND Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following: Evaluating and analyzing child care program operations and policies to advise leadership on approval, implementation and/or improving initiatives. Collaborating with government agencies on child care programs at the local, state, territory and/or national levels. Providing leadership and authority to staff in the field of child care and/or early childhood development.
