Job Title: Payroll Tax Associate
Duration: 3 Months Contract (Possible Extension Based on Performance and Business Needs)
Location: North Chicago, IL 60064
Shift: Monday-Friday | 8 Hours per Day | Standard Business Hours Pay Rate Range : $20.00 to $24.00 per hour Job Description: We need candidates specializing in "backend" payroll or after payroll has been processed. This position is looking for candidates that have strong payroll tax processing experience. Responsibilities:
- Work on tax notices
- Work with tax providers
- Handle power of attorneys and 3rd party authorizations
- Communicate with outside tax vendors through internal ticketing systems
- Participate in testing activities
- Attend meetings
- Strong payroll tax processing experience
- Previous work with state agencies
- Multi-state tax experience
- Payroll tax filing experience
- Solid foundation of payroll taxes including federal, state, and FICA taxes
- MS Office Suite (Excel)
- Clear and effective communication
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivation
- Consistency
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Project/testing experience
- High School Diploma required
- 2-3 years of payroll tax experience
- Payroll experience required
- Attention to detail
