Tech-Line Virtual Appliance Technician (Remote), Master Technician

Tech-Line Virtual Appliance Technician (Remote), Master Technician Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for this remote role. The technician provides differentiated service experience through installation, diagnosis, and repair of Whirlpool’s family of major appliances via voice, chat, email, and video calls, meeting all quality and interaction objectives. The Senior Specialist, Technician also collaborates cross-functionally to create the desired customer experience. Your responsibilities include Support Consumer Service Analytics as analyst enabling deployment of the Consumer Care Strategy with direction from Senior Analyst and Consumer Services Leadership. Typing 35 wpm. Provide detailed information on new or emerging issues to Quality and Engineering teams. Provide technical support via multi-channel interactions in installation, diagnosis, and repair of Whirlpool’s major appliances. Identify and communicate business and content gaps for continuous improvement. Maintain an ergonomic in‑home office environment, separate from living space. Ensure quiet, distraction‑free environment during work hours. Use a wired ethernet cable connection with 12 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload (no satellite or Wi‑Fi). Work a non‑traditional schedule within 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EST across the U.S. Minimum requirements High School Diploma or GED. 3+ years of appliance repair experience. 2+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical operations for major appliance diagnostics and repairs. Preferred skills and experiences Trade School or Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills. Basic understanding of leveraging multiple technologies. Customer Service Experience and/or Call Center Operations. Knowledge of continuous improvement and/or lean principles.
