Utility System Operator II

The City of Peoria Water Distribution is seeking a Utility System Operator II to maintain and repair the City of Peoria water distribution system. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that will perform maintenance and repair on water mains, fire hydrants, valves, and service lines throughout the City of Peoria. If you are a hard worker with extensive water distribution experience and enjoy contributing to a team atmosphere, this is an outstanding opportunity for you. Shift work, weekends, holidays, standby duty, and callback duty may be required.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Experience and ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a water distribution system.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as dump trucks, backhoes, and large utility service trucks.
• Flexibility and drive to meet the challenges of the position
