Warehouse Safety Specialist

Travel: Up to 25% (approximately one week per month) Position Summary We are seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Safety Specialist to lead and enhance our safety programs across warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a strong, safety-first culture. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in safety management within a warehouse or industrial environment and will partner closely with operations leadership, drivers, and site teams to reduce risk, improve safety performance, and promote best practices. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal and state safety regulations Lead OSHA-related activities including recordkeeping, reporting, inspections, and hazard mitigation Maintain current knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices Administer safety policies, corrective actions, and risk mitigation strategies Safety Programs & Training Design, develop, and deliver engaging safety training programs for associates and leadership Conduct new hire safety orientations and onboarding sessions Oversee equipment certification programs to ensure OSHA compliance Lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action planning Maintain accurate safety records and documentation Partner with operations teams to reduce incident frequency and associated costs Conduct facility inspections, audits, and safety assessments across multiple locations Monitor safety metrics and provide regular reporting to leadership Identify trends and recommend improvements to processes, procedures, and overall safety culture Serve as a trusted safety advisor to warehouse leadership and employees Partner cross-functionally to strengthen safety engagement and accountability Promote a proactive, behavior-based safety culture through coaching and communication Qualifications Required 3+ years of safety management experience in logistics, warehousing, or industrial environments OSHA 30 certification (required) Experience leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions Ability to travel up to 25% Proficiency with incident reporting systems and safety documentation Preferred Experience with ammonia refrigeration and/or certification Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations Experience training adult learners in hands-on environments Familiarity with transportation equipment and warehouse operations Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in both office and warehouse environments Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions Education High school diploma or equivalent required #J-18808-Ljbffr
