About the Position

Job Title: ER Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an ER setting with a patient volume of at least 95 patients a day and experienced with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio. License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER that handles a high volume of patients. - Familiarity with the required patient ratios. - No on-call requirement and no floating outside the scope of practice. Description: Required to provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for managing patient care effectively with a focus on safety and timely intervention. Experience in handling various emergency cases, including trauma and critical conditions. Skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients are necessary. Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, triaging patients, and conducting procedural sedation. Must have experience with a diverse patient population, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and social services, is essential. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality patient care. Experience with charting systems is preferred. Willingness to work weekends and accommodate scheduling needs as required. Two references covering recent professional experience may be required.
