Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine physical capabilities and limitations, setting measurable goals for improvement based on physician directives.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's condition and personal goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements.

• Provide supervision and mentorship to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages learning and professional development.

• Regularly assess the efficacy of treatment interventions and make adjustments as necessary to meet the changing needs of patients.

• Engage in interdisciplinary communication with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.

• Participate in departmental meetings aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies and solving clinical challenges, contributing positively to the work environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.

• Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records and documentation standards.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical Physical Therapy setting is preferred, providing a solid foundation in interventions and patient management.
