Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 09/28/2026 \n Duration: 18 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $ 2379.28 \n \n Opportunity: \n ICU RN \n Job Details: \n • 12-hour shifts available for both day (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM) and night (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM) shifts \n • Every other weekend requirement (Saturday and Sunday) \n • Minimum of 2 holidays required within the contract time frame \n • Self-scheduling for travelers added into core staff schedule; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed \n • RTO of 7 or fewer days per 13-week contract must be requested upfront; additional RTO will not be approved \n • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks \n • 33-bed ICU unit with an average daily census of 16 patients \n • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 for adults \n • Common diagnoses include trauma, cardiac conditions, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress \n • RNs required to titrate drips including cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation \n • RNs required to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips; monitoring system is GE with tele tech oversight \n • Respiratory equipment ranges from nasal cannula to ventilator; RNs are required to troubleshoot as needed \n • Floating may occur to PCU or occasionally Med/Surg with a ratio of 1:4 or 1:5 \n • If placed on call and called back in, must be able to arrive within 30 minutes \n • 1 shift of unit-specific orientation provided \n • Pass/fail open-book exam administered during orientation; minimum passing score of 90% required \n • Charting system: EPIC \n • BSN not required \n • Valid driver's license required at submittal \n • Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments \n • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS \n Facility: \n This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive critical care services across a wide range of complex diagnoses. The ICU department is well-equipped with modern monitoring technology and a supportive care team that includes nurse aides and healthcare support technicians.
