Location:

Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi

Working Hours:

Normal Work Hours - Monday - Friday (anticipate 40 per week).

Required Qualifications:
•Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability to obtain a clearance.
•10+ years of experience as a Civil Engineer on complex multimillion dollar construction projects.
•Hold a current Professional Engineering license.
•Experience with USACE's 3-Phase QC/Inspection process, EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual, and the Resident Management System (RMS) is preferred.
•Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel;
•Position requires frequent and recurring construction inspections, which include walking, climbing, stooping, and bending at various elevations and uneven terrain

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for complex, multimillion dollar construction projects. Work will be at Columbus Air Force Base, near Columbus, Mississippi.

Duties may include, but not be limited to, the following:
•Review and comment on Contractor submittals;
•Review and comment on Contractor questions;
•Review and comment on Contractor RFIs/RFCs;
•Make written recommendations to the COR;
•Compute time extensions;
•Assist in preparing change order documents;
•Make construction-minded determinations of practicability and meeting contract requirements;
•Request for equitable adjustment and claims;
•Make technical interpretations of drawings/specifications
•Review Contractor punch lists
