Overview
leading academic medical institution is seeking an Academic Hematopathologist to serve as Division Director within the Department of Pathology, Division of Hematopathology. This full-time faculty position involves leading a team of 10 hematopathologists while contributing to broader departmental leadership.


The successful candidate will provide diagnostic hematopathology services, engage in teaching and research, and pursue nationally recognized investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, educational, and academic leadership for a team of hematopathologists
• Participate in departmental leadership initiatives
• Recruit and grow a high-performing hematopathology team
• Deliver comprehensive diagnostic hematopathology services (bone marrow, lymph node, pediatric cases, flow cytometry, and general hematology)
• Actively contribute to divisional teaching, research, and educational programs
• Lead or participate in nationally recognized basic, clinical, or translational research with external funding
• Collaborate with leading academic, industry, and research partners
• Support an NCI-designated cancer center focused on hematologic clinical and research excellence

Compensation

Requirements

• MD or DO with board certification in Hematopathology
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania
• 10+ years of experience (Associate Professor or Professor level)
• Experience in a large hospital-based hematopathology service preferred
• Experience in molecular hematopathology preferred
• Strong, proven academic track record
