Bayview Medical Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation team. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10:45 am – 3:00 pm Pay Rate: $45–$55 per hour (based on experience) Responsibilities Observe, assess, monitor, and educate patients participating in outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation. Monitor and obtain vital signs as appropriate. Assist patients throughout therapy activities to ensure safety and tolerance. Provide patient education related to pulmonary disease management and rehabilitation goals. Respond appropriately to patient needs or changes in condition. Work collaboratively with the pulmonary rehab team, including another RT responsible for documentation. Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies. Maintain a professional, supportive, and respectful environment for all patients. Qualifications High School/GED. Graduate of an AMA‑approved Respiratory Therapy program. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Maryland State Board of Physicians. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required. Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification required or preferred. Strong analytical and clinical reasoning skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with intermediate computer proficiency. Demonstrated ability to show empathy and remain calm in potentially stressful situations. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare staff.
