Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Direct Placement - Permanent

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment. This role involves working alone or alongside other maintenance technicians, providing assistance in operating functions as necessary. The position requires adaptability to varying environmental conditions and commitment to an 8-hour rotating shift schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systems.
• Operate and repair conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment.
• Assist in operating functions as necessary.
• Work independently or collaboratively with other technicians.
• Perform duties across various plant areas with diverse environmental conditions.
• Commit to an 8-hour rotating shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing and/or industrial experience, including military service or equivalent education.
• Proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, and diesel mechanics.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair expertise.
• Experience in electrical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.
• Must pass a technical assessment prior to hiring.

Work Environment

The work environment varies across different plant locations, presenting conditions that may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy. The role requires working 8-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary.

This is a Permanent position based out of Granite City, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $71427.00 - $79747.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

Union Benefits one probationary period and assessments completed, formal training though SWIC during probationary period

This is a fully onsite position in Granite City,IL.
