First-time travelers will be considered. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical/Telemetry. The role involves caring for patients post-surgery and managing a range of medical conditions. You will work on a 46-bed surgical unit with a primary focus on trauma surgery, post-bariatric surgery, post-abdominal surgery, post-amputation surgery, and urological issues. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio ranges from 1:5-6, which may extend to 1:7. The unit is actively onboarding new staff to help manage the workload during call-ins. You will be required to work every other weekend and every other holiday. No on-call duties are expected for this position. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cardiac telemetry and various surgical processes. Familiarity with managing medical equipment and performing specific nursing procedures is essential. Team collaboration with various interdisciplinary services is important for optimal patient care. Professional conduct and attendance are critical to ensure a successful contract. Travelers should understand their responsibilities and adapt to varying patient needs.
