As part of the Tactical Intelligence Unit (TIU), you’ll shape California’s travel security posture by identifying threats and ensuring safe journeys. Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Conducting threat assessments for international travel itineraries, analyzing risks to state officials and foreign delegations visiting California. Generating threat briefings for policymakers, travelers, and stakeholders, including actionable recommendations. Collaborating with federal, state, and local partners (e.g., State Department, law enforcement) to share intelligence and best practices. Monitoring emerging threats (e.g., protests, cyber risks) and advising on travel security protocols.
