Radiology - MRI Tech

MRI Technologist

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently. You should be able to make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure. Coordinating with the patient's physician to ensure timely results is essential. You must be familiar with medical terminology. The role requires standing for extended periods.

MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform patient care tasks as needed.

Experience: Two (2) Years' Experience License: NYS Rad Tech License (must be willing to obtain after starting) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), Injection Certification, ARRT Certification (preferred) Must-Have: GE Scanner Experience, Level 1 Trauma Center Experience
