Location 17711 French Road,Houston, TX, 77084,United States Base Pay $27.00 - $33.00 / Hour Employee Type Full-Time Non-Exempt Manage Others No Fleet Mechanic T he Fleet Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our company's fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Responsibilities: Repair and maintain gasoline and diesel engines used to power equipment such as portable saws, lawnmowers, weed eaters, blowers, and trimmers. Adjust points, valves, carburetors, distributors, and spark plug gaps, using feeler gauges. Reassemble engines after repair or maintenance work is complete. Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and greasing parts, and tuning ignition systems. Must be able to work externally in a variety of different conditions Answer service calls promptly Work Environment: This job operates in a professional garage environment. Physical Demands: The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, crouch, bend, and lift. Travel: Any travel will be within business hours.
