This position plans and directs activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards by providing technical support, related to corrective actions, process control, statistical analysis, customer complaints, component validation, product measurement and testing, product launch, certification and audits.Essential Duties:In conjunction with engineering, manufacturing engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops and implements control processes and programsDevelops quality plans and documentation requirements, including the use of statistically valid sampling methods, to evaluate product at every state of the manufacturing processCoordinates and prepares First Article Inspection, First Article Testing, PPAP and product launchesIn conjunction with engineering, develops inspection and testing methods, and interprets industry and customer product CTQ requirementsConducts internal and external quality audits in accordance with internal procedures and ISO standardsParticipates in disposition of non-conforming material and performs root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysisCompiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activitiesEnsures compliance with internal and external specifications and standards such as work instructions, drawings, ISO standards and Military specificationsAids in the issuance of Corrective Actions both internally and externallyVerifies calibration of equipment in accordance with ISO 9001:2015Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedEducation/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:Bachelors degree in Engineering or Quality Systems related field3+ years experience in Quality or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering related fieldsMust be able to speak, read and understand EnglishASQ, CQE or CQT certification desiredKnowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques and documentationKnowledge of SPC or statistical controlKnowledge of ISO or some form of Quality Management SystemsKnowledge of military specifications is preferredStrong problem solving and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlinesStrong organizational and time management skillsExperience in ERP systems, SAP desiredPossesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with employees and managers at all levels within the companyDisclaimer: This job description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required for this role.This position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
