Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor and delivery, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the childbirth process. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality obstetric services in a fast-paced, high-risk environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications critical to labor and delivery processes.
• Assist with labor support, including fetal monitoring and assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless patient care.
• Document patient progress and clinical interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and families about labor procedures, postpartum care, and newborn care.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active VA or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess current ACLS and NRP certifications.
• Demonstrate circulating skills with at least one year of obstetric experience.
• Be proficient in EPIC and OBTV documentation systems.
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics, including managing Preeclampsia, GDM, PPROM, and fetal anomalies, is preferred but not required.
