Bartender

About the Role Laguna Playhouse, a nationally acclaimed, non‑profit, professional theatre located steps away from the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Beach, CA, is seeking a part‑time Bartender to support our mainstage shows. The Bartender reports to the House Manager and plays an integral part of the Front of House team, enhancing the patron experience by preparing drinks, maintaining bar cleanliness, and handling sales transactions. Responsibilities Adhere to state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding alcoholic beverage service. Set up assigned bar and stock all beverages, beer, wine, spirits, glassware, paper products, stirs, and ice. Greet guests courteously and efficiently. Receive drink orders, mix and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages following standard recipes. Verify identification of guests and check for proper age and sobriety. Accept cash, give accurate change, and maintain cash records. Secure all beverage products, equipment, deposits, and cash drops to the lock‑up area. Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing general cleaning tasks in accordance with health and safety standards. Arrange bottles to create an attractive bar display. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Qualifications At least 21 years of age. Minimum of one year of front‑of‑house experience in a high‑volume bar or restaurant. Basic beer, wine, and spirit knowledge. Positive, public‑facing attitude. Independent work ability with reliable task completion within timeframes. Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and evenings. Dependable and fast‑paced work ethic. Proficiency in a computerizedPOSsystem. Physical Requirements Must provide proof of COVID‑19 vaccination as a condition of employment. Documentation should include only proof of FDA‑approved COVID‑19 vaccination and no supplemental medical info.
