Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital OR setting, requiring at least 2 years of experience and proficiency across ortho, spine, urology, general, and GYN procedures.

Job Details

• Hospital OR setting with 7 operating rooms,
• Procedures include orthopedic, spine, urology, general, and GYN surgeries,
• Advanced robotic technology in use, including DaVinci, MAKO, Globus, and Medtronic Stealth systems,
• Equipment includes Stryker, Arthrex, and Olympus,
• EMR system is Meditech,
• Scheduling options include four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts; shift hours are 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM,
• Rotating weekend on-call required,
• May float between the main OR, 2nd floor OR (eyes), and/or endoscopy,
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• CST certification required,
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist,
• Active experience within the last 6 months in the CST role required,
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start,
• Experience with orthopedic, spine, urology, general, and GYN procedures required,
• Robotic surgery experience preferred, particularly DaVinci and MAKO,
• State license required if applicable,
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration,
• One professional reference required,
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,

• Unit is supported by RNs, CSTs, OR Aides, Anesthesia Techs, and Schedulers - described as a great team environment,
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
